The majority of times (70% of all flights), flights do not delay. If a delay happens, passengers may predict that the delay will last less than 30 minutes, but they should also be aware that the delay time could possibly be up to 5 hours.

General Advice for Passengers

1. Passengers departing from airports in Alaska should expect security delays to occur (such as long security screening times).

2. Some passengers shall not worry about weather delays in the third quarter of 2019. However, if passengers depart from the regions of South and West North Central, they should be prepared for the weather delay.

3. If the flights are scheduled to depart on Saturday, passengers may not expect the aircraft delay.

4. The rank of airline company about minimizing the delay time from the best to the worst: HA, AS, DL, WN, AA, UA, NK, OH, MQ, F9, YV, G4, OO, 9E, B6, YX, EV.
